Multi Communication offers a full spectrum of telecommunications cabling for data, voice and video. Our capabilities include single and multi-mode fiber to support office configurations as well as large community infrastructures. Whether you need simple add-ons or complete certified network installations, Multi Communication technicians hold certifications from various manufacturers and offer 15-25 year warranties on fiber-optic installations. Systems contain cable tray, j-hooks to conceal, protect, support & provide access to your cabling infrastructure Backbone Distribution Systems i. The backbone cabling system provides interconnections between telecommunications closets, equipment rooms, and entrance facilities. It includes backbone cables, intermediate and main cross-connects, mechanical terminations, and patch cords or jumpers used for backbone-to-backbone cross-connections. The backbone also extends between buildings in a campus environment. Horizontal Cabling Systems i. The horizontal cabling system extends from the telecommunications outlet in the work area to the horizontal cross-connect in the telecommunications closet. It includes the telecommunications outlet, an optional consolidation point or transition point connector, horizontal cable, and the mechanical terminations and patch cords (or jumpers) that comprise the horizontal cross-connect. Firestopping i. Multi Communication installs firestopping to reestablish the integrity of fire-rated structures when these barriers are penetrated by cable, cable trays, cable sleeves, conduits and innerducts. Grounding & Bonding Systems i. Today’s Technology places new demands on the configuration of grounding systems, complicating the proper protection of your switching and transmission systems. Multi Communication, Inc. is, dedicated to designing and installing the correct grounding system for your site. UTP/STP
Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cabling should be used where there is little chance of electromagnetic interference, either by routing of cabling or lack of EMI-producing waves. Use Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) cabling where large amounts of EMI-producing devices can cause data-transmission problems. Classifications of your cabling options for UTP and STP follow. Category 5: For data communications, Category 5, either shielded or unshielded, is the most widely used. It can handle data transmission rates of up to 100 megabits per second. Fiber Optic Within fiber-optic cabling, you have the choice between multi-mode or single mode. Multi-mode fiber optic cabling suits a wide range of applications and is used for backbone cabling, riser cabling, in high EMI areas, areas where distance limitations of copper wiring exist and between buildings in a campus-type environment. Increasingly popular uses for multi-mode fiber include applications for video and links directly to the desk. Single-mode fiber-optic cabling is generally suited to applications where distance presents a problem, such as telephone circuits from coast-to-coast, for backbone cables, longer than normal distances (miles) between buildings in a campus environment, and for some data applications. Coaxial Many types of coaxial cabling are available to meet a variety of needs. RG58 and RG62 accommodate data. RG59 and RG6 are used for CATV applications. In most data applications today Category 5 cable replaces coaxial cable. However, coaxial is still widely used for CCTV and CATV applications. Layout & Design Multi Communications helps you maximize your investment by designing and installing solutions that perform at current state-of-the-art standards—and offer the built-in flexibility to adapt to your changing technology needs. For both commercial and industrial environments, we design and install systems for a wide range of voice and data communications. Comprehensive Testing And Certification To ensure your cabling is running at top performance, Multi Communication completes testing to any desired specification at the time new systems are installed or on existing systems. Testing allows you to check the performance of your cabling, both initially and provide a basis for comparison during future testing. After testing to factory specifications for systems, we can provide warranties for 15 years and beyond. Documentation And Drawings Multi Communications provides any type of desired documentation, from simple warranties and hard copies of test and installation results to GPS coordinates. Our experienced staff can also assist with any desired drawings with the help of computer-aided design capabilities. |
